(5) The message:
? System error - please contact computer center
followed by the running of a fresh BASIC core image indicates a monitor
or hardware error, or an internal error in BASIC. If the former two
causes can be eliminated and the problem persists but is not simply
reproducible, obtain a core image of BASIC for subsequent analysis:
a) Deposit 264000 000162 in location 141.
b) Deposit a suitable ASCIZ message in 142-161.
BASIC will then give this message before exiting to the monitor,
instead of running a new core image of itself. The message should
tell the user to save the core image at once and inform the system
manager, who should
c) Collect and send all such core images on magnetic tape
with as much information as is available on an SPR.
