There are no other files named mm.init-doc in the archive.
MM now reads an init file from the user's login directory named MM.INIT which
can modify the variables described below.  These variables can be set during a
normal MM session via the SET command, and the CREATE-INIT command will write
out a new init file containing the state of all the variables.  Of course, this
file can be made via your favorite editor as well.

The format of the variable descriptons is:
	VARIABLE-NAME default-value
		value	meaning

If a question on what a variable does remains, try changing it via the SET
command and see what the results are.

BLANK-SCREEN-STARTUP -1
	0	Don't clear screen when MM is started
	1	Clear the screen when MM is started
CONTROL-N-ABORT 0
	-1	^N is not armed as an abort character
	0	Ask if ^N should abort when it is typed 
	1	^N will always abort
EDITOR 
	file	The specified file will be executed as the editor.  The
		default is SYS:EMACS.EXE
ESCAPE-AUTOMATIC-SEND 0
	-1	When typing in the text of a message, ^Z will send the
		message, and escape will go to send prompt level
	0	Both ^Z and escape will go to send prompt level
	1	Escape will send the message, and ^Z will go to send prompt
		level
GET-CONNECTED-DIRECTORY 0
	-1	When MM is started, it will always read mail from the user's
		login directory, no matter where the user is connected.
	0	If the user is connected to a directory other than the login
		directory, ask if MM should read the mail file in the connected
		directory at startup
	1	MM should always use the mail file in the connected directory
		at startup
PERSONAL-NAME
	string	The name to be included in net mail.  I.e. the string which
		will go between parenthesis or preceeding the machine name
		depending on the value of RFC733-STYLE-HEADERS
READ-PROMPT >> 
	string	The prompt to use for read level
REPLY-CC-OTHERS 0
	0	When replying to a message, the reply should have all the
		previous recipients on the TO list
	1	When replying to a message, the reply will have the name of
		the user the previous message was from in the TO list and
		all the other recipients in the CC list
REPLY-INCLUDE-ME 0
	-1	When replying to a message, CC the reply to the last file
		moved to
	0	Do not automatically CC the reply to the sender
	1	When replying to a message, CC the reply to the sender
REPLY-INITIAL-DISPLAY 0
	0	Don't display the header before asking for the text when
		replying
	1	Do display the header before asking for the text when replying
REPLY-SENDER-ONLY-DEFAULT 0
	0	By default, replys should be addressed to all recipients of
		the origional message
	1	by default, replys will be addressed to just the user in
		the origional message's FROM field
RFC733-STYLE-HEADERS 0
	0	Format the user name as "user-name at host (personal-name)
	1	Format the user name as "personal-name <username at host>"
		and indent continuations of fields as prescribed by RFC733
SAVED-MESSAGES-FILE 
	string	filename to automatically save a copy of all replys in.  If
		null then replys are not automatically saved.  Ignored if
		reply-include-me is negative since replys would then go to
		the file last moved to instead

	-1	When a message is sent, do not indicate the disposition of
		each user

		users who MM immediately sent the message to

USER-NAME USERNAME
	string	The name of the user to put in the FROM field.  This is useful
		if the user prefers to have his name capitalized some way other
		than just all uppercase
