1.0  SUMMARY

PLEASE provides a facility for one user  at  a  time  to  talk  to  an
operator.   Requests  for  contact with the operator are queued;  thus
the user can type a request for operator  action  and  know  that  the
request will be received even if the operator is currently busy.

PLEASE version 3(10) runs on TOPS-20 Release 3A.

PLEASE runs in conjunction with OPLEAS version 3A(12).

PLEASE is documented in the TOPS-20 User's Guide.

There are no external changes in PLEASE for Release 3A.

4.0  INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS


4.1  Files Needed to Run PLEASE

PLEASE consists of one file, PLEASE.EXE.


4.2  Instructions for Loading and Installing PLEASE

Mount the tape labeled  Distribution  Tape  on  MTA0:   and  type  the
following commands:

     R DUMPER
     TAPE MTA0:
     REWIND
     DENSITY 1600-BPI
     SKIP 2
     RESTORE <*>PLEASE.EXE (TO) SYS:*.*.-1
     REWIND

4.3  Files Needed to Build PLEASE

PLEASE is built from the following files:

     PLEASE.MAC
     COMSYM.MAC

In addition, the following files must be on SYS:

     MACREL.REL
     MACSYM.UNV
     MONSYM.UNV


4.4  Instructions for Building PLEASE

Mount the tape labeled  Distribution  Tape  on  MTA0:   and  type  the
following commands:

     R DUMPER
     TAPE MTA0:
     REWIND
     DENSITY 1600-BPI
     SKIP 3
     RESTORE <*>*.*.* (TO) <self>*.*.*
     REWIND
     ^C
     SUBMIT PLEASE.CTL/TIME/UNIQ:0/REST


4.5  Special Considerations


                                 NOTE

               This procedure also builds the  operator
               utility  OPLEASE.EXE  and  requires that
               its associated source files be  present.
               See OPLEAS.DOC for details.
